At the Onehunga Police Court this morning two Chinese
gardeners, Lum Chtirig and Wong Quart, who failed to pay their instalments of
the unemployment levy for the months of August and November, 1931, .were fined
20/ and costs by Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M. Tor employing Lin Joe, who had been in
arrears with his unemployment levy for more than one month, Wong Quan was
ordered to pay costs. The defendants pleaded ignorance Of the law, and said
