Severe head" injuries were received by a Chinese market gardener, Lim Gin, aged 25, of Mount Wellington, on Saturday afternoon when a "motorlorry he was-driving got out. of. control oil the Panmure highway and crashed into atelegraph pole. Lim Gin was found lying across the driver's seat in a semi-conscious condition and was taken to hospital. His condition is serious. The terrific force of the impact almost uprooted the telegraph, pole, and 40 telephone wires were severed.
